The following warning signs may indicate alcohol consumption.

  • Sudden mood swings for no apparent reason
  • Tendency to spend a lot of time alone, or locked in their room, excessive secrecy
  • They are frequently late
  • Unjustified absences from school and/or significant change in school performance
  • Loss of interest in friends, sports, fun
  • Decrease in appetite for food
  • Low or bad mood
  • Distraction for long periods of time
  • Restless mood and fatigue
  • Money disappears from your wallet or alcohol from your home
  • Sudden loss of interest in appearance and personal hygiene
  • Truancy from home and school
  • Smell of alcohol
  • Very frequent brushing of teeth
  • If you are unsure, it is advisable to first talk to your child and investigate what is bothering them.
